Maduk - Vermilion
Maduk ft Veela - Ghost Assassin -
Hey commander, can you unplug me?
Just for a minute, I need some privacy."
Headset off and stretch her neck out
Down the rocks to her head's safe house
Yeah I remember if i'll bleed and shout out my calls
The air was so dusty
Her armor getting rusty
She found thoughts she never had
Her young ones were just as bad
She winced her weapon
Hole in her heart, feel like a lady
Fingers apart, cold, rugged and waiting
"I can't believe it, Jim, how did you know where to find me?
I kept the feelings in and really thought it had cost me."
Drops in her goggles aren't of love
Something's really wrong and it feels awful
Even though her body's back to normal
She once was a villain and it's hiding in her soul
I don't want to know what she did
She is not who I am
At least that's what I thought
Now I'm second guessing
I can't put my gun down
My suit's getting heavy
Something wants to be released
Something dark inside me
Dark familiarity --
She opened her eyes and watched the ruins
And thought of her life and love to lose
She shook out her lenses, they'd want her back soon
The moments alone becoming scarce and few
Sure she could fight but she's getting visions
Deeds that were unspeakable and personally did
She couldn't pose a threat to the ghost like this
He rescued her once, now it's her turn to save him
Ben Moon ft Veela - Majesty
It's not enough.
I've given up.
They're wielding guns,
We've been taken over.
Uncertain moves.
Let instinct choose.
Their every move
to leave us cornered
I know it's true,
Our sweat and blood,
And armoured skirts crimson
Story book, pretty soldiers.
As we grow up,
There's nothing left.
Bow and arrow in hand,
Stand up, follow orders.
How cruel have we become?
To know what we have done?
Tomorrow, another one,
"Dear, you're not here."
We watched them leave.
Leave our homes... (Forgettable)
We embrace steel, and now we know
That we,
have control.
Orient maid, free our souls
(Feel the drums and they hum so loud
Shooting guns from a one man crowd)
Geisha of Blades, wise and cold
(No fun and no love and not proud
What they've done to a lover's home town)
How cruel have I become?
To know what I've done?
Tomorrow, another,
"Dear, you're not here."
And how we feel, no one can know... (Identical)
Our virtues close, and personal.
So we,
have control.
Sister of Blades, take my soul.
(Feel the drums and they hum so loud
Shooting guns from a one man crowd)
Release my pain, one handed blow.
(No fun and no love and not proud
What they've done to a lover's home town)
I'll be your leader to the other side.
Now we ride.
Inclined, to die..
Women like us, I've come to find
Our seldom blind, to life's many horrors.
In strength they trust, and keep in mind
The people lost and left behind..
Orient maid, free our souls.
(Feel the drums and they hum so loud
Shooting guns from a one man crowd)
Geisha of Blades, wise and cold.
(No fun and no love and not proud
What they've done to a lover's home town)
Sister of Blades, take my soul.
(Feel the drums and they hum so loud
Shooting guns from a one man crowd)
Release my pain, one handed blow.
(No fun and no love and not proud
What they've done to a lover's home town)
It's just a game, not a war.
(Feel the drums and they hum so loud
Shooting guns from a one man crowd)
We cannot gain as we lose more.
(No fun and no love and not proud
What they've done to a lover's home town)

Flawless when she was a drone
Had it all and still she felt alone
Clueless 'til she pulled the plug
Shocked her ties and relied on her luck
Mm - Resting her weary mind
Pack up her convictions inside
Darkness is her energy
Easily forgotten and often misconceivedHeart nearly stops when she sees his face
Big brown eyes that that baptize with a gaze
Weaving words like it's second nature
Revolution stories take his paper
Needs her fix or else she can't sleep
Both their friends concerned it's a disease
Shares all the sounds that make up his life
They dance in the dark to secrets in the night"This feels really right" she said
He nodded back with a stare straight ahead
"I know what we have to do
Etre ensemble, I want you so bad.."
"We can create anything" she said
"I'll be your queen you be my king."
"Show this world what we have to say,
Hold my hand and let's blow them away."
Nobody really gets it cause it's not the same
Talk out the riddles just to stop the rain
Thinking of the beauty they could make together
Dreaming of the reacharound hold on for better weather
Addicted to the lust that consumes her mind
Disregards the thoughts she's forced to put on override
At the same time she really can't say
They've got a job to do with nothing in the wayHere, dance, when you see her there
It's imagination, rotation of what is
Neo romance sparks their intuition
Sprint a little faster and master it down
He made an entrance to her ferris wheel
Boarded with a smile to melt diamonds and have her
At the first glance when he shared his wish
Takes his hand to change the world with him.

"Problems"
Sometimes I can't tell if anybody really even likes me
I shouldn't care but I still do and that's a little frightening
Maybe it's all in my head, maybe it's me instead
I should have stayed inside, I never should have gotten outta bed
'Cause I smoke when I drink
And I drink when I think
On top tonight but tomorrow, I'll be back at the bottom
It comes and it goes
But nobody knows
'Cause I hide everythin' in
But I got problems
Yeah, I got, oh-oh-oh-oh
Oh-oh-oh-oh
Yeah, I got, oh-oh-oh-oh
I got problems
Yeah, I got, oh-oh-oh-oh
Oh-oh-oh-oh
I hide everythin' in
But I got problems
Must be nice to not have to think twice 'bout everything always
Not being afraid, oh, I shouldn't say it, yeah, I miss the old days
Maybe it's all in my head, maybe it's me instead, oh
I should have stayed inside, I never should have gotten outta bed
'Cause I smoke when I drink
And I drink when I think
On top tonight but tomorrow, I'll be back at the bottom (Bottom)
It comes and it goes
But nobody knows
'Cause I hide everythin' in
But I got problems
Yeah, I got, oh-oh-oh-oh
Oh-oh-oh-oh
Yeah, I got, oh-oh-oh-oh
I got problems
Yeah, I got, oh-oh-oh-oh
Oh-oh-oh-oh
I hide everythin' in
But I got problems
Yeah, I got, oh-oh-oh-oh
Oh-oh-oh-oh
I hide everythin' in
But I got problems
Yeah, I got-
I got problems
Yeah, I got, oh-oh-oh-oh
Oh-oh-oh-oh
I hide everythin' in
But I got problems
Oh-oh-oh, oh
Oh-oh, oh-oh-oh
I hide everythin' in
But I got problems

JP Saxe - If The World Was Ending (Official Video) ft. Julia Michaels
If The World Was Ending – JP Saxe Lyrics, Letra:
I was distracted
and in traffic
I didn’t feel it
when the earthquake happened
but it really got me thinkin’
were you out drinkin’
were you in the living room
chillin’ watchin’ television
ah it’s been a year now
think I’ve figured out how
how to let you go and let
communication die out
I know you know we know you weren’t down for forever and it’s fine
I know you know we know we weren’t meant for each other and it’s fine
but if the world was ending
you’d come over right
you’d come over and you’d stay the night
would you love me for the hell of it
all our fears would be irrelevant
if the world was ending
you’d come over right
the sky’d be falling and I’d hold you tight
and there wouldn’t be a reason why
we would even have to say goodbye
if the world was ending
you’d come over right
Right?
If the world was ending
You’d come over right
Right?
I tried to imagine
your reaction
didn’t scare me when the earthquake happened
But it really got me thinkin’
that night we went drinkin’
stumbled in the house
and didn’t make it past the kitchen
ah it’s been a year now
think I’ve figured out how
how to think about you
without it rippin’ my heart out
I know you know we know you weren’t down for forever and it’s fine
I know you know we know we weren’t meant for each other and it’s fine

[Verse 1: JP Saxe]
I don't say whats on my mind quite as much as you'd like me to
I've been hearing that my whole life, I promise, it's not just you
But I so confidently want you that
When you say you're insecure about my feelings I don't take it serious
But if you need me to tell you more
[Chorus: JP Saxe and Charlotte Lawrence]
You're one of the few things that I'm sure of
You're one of the few things that I know already
I could build my world of
One of the few things that I'm sure of
And I want you to unravel me
Come closer, come closer
Come closer, come closer
[Verse 2: Charlotte Lawrence]
I don't say what's on my mind quite as much as you'd like me to
And often when I'm quiet you worry I'm hiding from you
And I know I keep a lot to myself
But still you're more a part of me than anybody else
So if you need me to tell you more
[Chorus: JP Saxe and Charlotte Lawrence]
You're one of the few things that I'm sure of
You're one of the few things that I know already
I could build my world of
One of the few things that I'm sure of
And I want you to unravel me
Come closer, come closer
And I want you to unravel me
Come closer, come closer
And I want you to unravel me
Come closer, come closer
[Bridge: Charlotte Lawrence & JP Saxe]
You're one of the few things that I'm sure of
You're one of the few things that I know already
I could build my world of
One of the few things I'm sure of
And I want you to unravel me
And I want you to unravel me
(Come closer, come closer)
[Outro: JP Saxe and Charlotte Lawrence]
You're one of the few things that I'm sure of
You're one of the few things that I know already
I could build my world of
One of the few things I'm sure of
And I want you to unravel me
Come closer, come closer
Come closer, come closer
Kaskade & Felix Cartal - More (Shuffle Video)
[Intro]
(A lit-, a little)
[Verse 1]
Chasing another oasis
At least that's what I’m betting
Seeking out turn on faces
How do I know if I'm settling?
And I wait and I wait and I wait
For the moment, 'til the moment’s gone
Seeking out turn on faces
How do I know if I'm settling?
[Pre-Chorus]
Is there anyone, anyone wondering
How much is enough?
Is there anyone wondering
How much is enough?
[Chorus]
How much is enough?
How much is enough?
[Drop]
More, more (Hey), more
A lit-, a little (Hey)
More, more (Hey), more
A lit-, a little
[Verse 2]
Racing against my own vices
Probably been just a bit excessive
Don't even know how I'm like this
Wish I was a little less obsessive
'Cause I'm up and I'm up and I'm up
And I’m higher ’til I come back down
Fake a smile, yeah I tried it
Why can't I say congratulations?
[Pre-Chorus]
Is there anyone, anyone wondering
How much is enough?
Is there anyone wondering
How much is enough?
[Chorus]
How much is enough?
How much is enough?
[Drop]
More, more (Hey), more
A lit-, a little (Hey)
More, more (Hey), more
A lit-, a little
A lit-, a little
A lit-, a little
[Outro]
More, more (Hey), more

When I was young I would stand alone
With visions of worlds that were all my own
The lights in the sky weren't that far away
Living in the vastness of outer spaceAll my life I've been a star
Holding a light up in the dark
While I try to keep clear
Of all the waves in your atmosphereAll my life I've been a star
Holding a light up in the dark
While I try to keep clear
Of all the waves in your atmosphereOf all the waves in your atmosphereOf all the waves in your atmosphereWhen I was young I could hear the sound
A melody pure and a rhythm loud
Oh, this sound took me away
Carried through the vastness of outer space
All my life I've been a star
Holding a light up in the dark
While I try to keep clear
Of all the waves in your atmosphere
All my life I've been a star
Holding a light up in the dark
While I try to keep clear
Of all the waves in your atmosphere

Above & Beyond feat. Zoë Johnston - Love Is Not Enough (OFFICIAL MUSIC VIDEO)
"Love Is Not Enough"
(feat. Zoe Johnston)
I've had too many a good cry for you
This is my time to say goodbye to you
In my heart of hearts
I know there's more love left for you
But love is not enough, I've learned,
To see the journey through
This is not yours alone
It hurts me too
Please don't say you don't care
(I know you do)
Love is not enough for me
If it screams when you hold it
Love is not enough for me
Love is hurting if it screams
Oh if it's screaming out loud
Love is not enough
One day you will fly away from here
One day you will leave your hurts behind

"Jungle"
I see the way you move
It's so fluid
Be here by my side
Got nothing to hide
Know that you're hurting
I see the tears behind those eyes
And I can't wipe them clear
Your love was like gold to me
But you hold me closer to the light
Wouldn't find the bullet inside
Unless you magnified
But you throw me into the deep end
Expect me to know how to swim
And I, I put my faith inside my hands
Cause I will be just fine
Welcome to the jungle
Are you gonna dance with me?
Welcome to the jungle
You got to close your eyes and see
Welcome to the jungle
Are you gonna dance with me?
Well, no nah
Well, no nah
Sitting tight with my black jeans on
And I'm paralysed make your way toward the sun
Got the palest soul you ever seen oh darling
You mightn't be the one
Sitting tight with my curly hair
Making your way with that sheepish stare
Said are you real do you feel are you there?
Ashes to ashes
And the embers I blaze
Oh, I gotta rise amongst you, though
And I think about your face every day
But you pull me closer to the light
You wouldn't find the bullets inside
Only if you magnified
Welcome to the jungle
Are you gonna dance with me?
Welcome to the jungle
You got to close your eyes and see
Welcome to the jungle
Are you gonna dance with me?

Chet Faker - Talk Is Cheap [Live At The Enmore]
Oh so, your weak rhyme
You doubt I bother reading into it
I'll probably won't
Left to my own devices
But that's the difference in our opinions
You're a mouthful
That amounts for another week on my own
Now I'm a novel made resourceful
I start a chain with my thought
Talk is cheap, my darling
When you're feeling right at home
I wanna make you move with confidence
I wanna be with you alone
Said help me help you start it
You're too comfortable to know
Throwing out those words
Oh, you gotta feel it on your own
Cold pain
I cannot sustain it
That's what I'm thinking
Not what I'm drinking
I hold up my ways
These thoughts are pervasive
It's not a statement
But peace can be evasive
You're a mouthful
That accounts for another week on my own
Now I'm a novel made resourceful
I start a chain with my thought
Talk is cheap, my darling
When you're feeling right at home
I wanna make you move with confidence
I wanna be with you alone
Said help me help you start it
You're too comfortable to know
Throwing out those words
Oh, you gotta feel it on your own
Talk is cheap, my darling
When you're feeling right at home
I wanna make you move with confidence
I wanna be with you alone
Said help me help you start it
You're too comfortable to know
Throwing out those words
Oh, you gotta feel it on your own
Nicholas James Murphy (born 23rd June 1988), known by his former stage name, Chet Faker, is an Australian singer and songwriter. In 2012, he issued an extended play, Thinking in Textures, and signed to Downtown Records in the United States. In October 2012, he won Breakthrough Artist of the Year and Thinking in Textures won Best Independent Single/EP at the Australian Independent Records Awards. In January 2013, the work won Best Independent Release at the Rolling Stone Australia Awards for 2012. Faker's cover of Blackstreet's "No Diggity" (as Chet Faker) was featured in a 2013 Super Bowl commercial for Beck's Sapphire. Since September 2016 he has performed and released material under his birth name. Chet Faker played under his stage name after people came to his shows thinking he was a different and already established musician, Nick Murphy. He settled on the name as an homage to Chet Baker: "I listened to a lot of jazz and I was a big fan of ... the way he sang, when he moved into mainstream singing. He had this really fragile vocal style—this really, broken, close-up and intimate style. The name is kind of just an ode to Chet Baker and the mood of music he used to play—something I would like to at least pay homage to in my own music." Other influences he has cited include Bob Dylan, as well as his mother's Motown albums and his father's "chilled out Ibiza CDs". On 8 September 2016, the artist wrote on his Facebook page, "It's been half a decade since I started releasing music as Chet Faker and all of you have been the driving force behind the music since. There's an evolution happening and I wanted to let you know where it's going. The next record will be under my own name, Nick Murphy. Chet Faker will always be a part of the music. This is next."
Elohim - Hallucinating (Official Video)
Am I dreaming
Walking in my sleep
I just can't drop this feeling underneath my feet
These London streets are moving
Rising up and meeting me
You know I see our faces eyesI'm hallucinating, I'm hallucinating
I'm hallucinating, I'm hallucinatingDaily life feels like a constant dream
I keep on tripping out
Aye, why am I such a freak?
I don't know why that painting's staring back at me
I swear, I think its eyes just moved
I'm hallucinating, I'm hallucinating
I'm hallucinating, I'm hallucinatingBaby, I'm scared to drink the water
Baby, I think you drank the waterA hallucination is a perception
In the absence of external stimulus
That has qualities of real perception
Hallucinations are vivid, substantial
And are perceived to be located in external objective space
I'm hallucinating, I'm hallucinating
I'm hallucinating, I'm hallucinatingI'm hallucinating, I'm hallucinating
I'm hallucinating, I'm hallucinating

Dagny - "Wearing Nothing"
All I hear is the rhythm of my speeding heart
It's getting loud and I can't hide it
Boy, you know the distance is just killing me
Even when I lied right beside ya
And I gotta let my body loose
Never really cared for rules
I gotta get it closer to you
I gotta get to where you are
Rip my shirt and let it fall
Baby, I just feel like wearing
Nothing at all
When I'm with you I feel like wearing nothing
Nothing at all
When I'm with you I feel like wearing nothing
Yeah I'm getting warmer as you're holding me
But I still feel too far away now
Help me please 'cause I can't deal with clothes between us
I just wanna tear 'em off baby
And I gotta let my body loose
Never really cared for rules
I gotta get it closer to you
I gotta get to where you are
Rip my shirt and let it fall
Baby, I just feel like wearing
Nothing at all
When I'm with you I feel like wearing nothing
Nothing at all
When I'm with you I feel like wearing nothing
Baby let's tie us tighter together
Yeah we can tear down this wall
We got to get tighter and tighter together
When I'm with you I feel like wearing nothing
Oh!
I gotta let my body loose
Baby I just feel like wearing
Nothing at, nothing at
Nothing at all
When I'm with you I feel like wearing nothing
Nothing at all
When I'm with you I feel like wearing nothing
Baby let's tie us tighter together
When I'm with you I feel like wearing nothing
We got to get tighter, tighter together
When I'm with you I feel like wearing nothing

Tove Styrke "Say My Name"
You said you ain't the one to to jump in a relation
And I don't mind, but when we touch it's elevation
Up, up, up, up, up
Up, up, up, up, up
You speak my lingo, we don't need no translation
I never need a break 'cause we feel like vacation
Up, up, up, up, up
Got me up, up, up, up, up
Go ahead and feel what you feel
I want you closer to me
Say my name
Wear it out like a sweater that you love
'Cause I can't get enough when you
Say my name
Spill it out like a drink you should have skipped
You're the one I wanna get when you
Say my name
Let it roll, let it roll off your tongue
Let me know, let me know what you want
Wear it out like a sweater that you love
Cause I can't get enough when you
Say my name
Say my name
Don't need no list of where you been, no information
You got me running out, out of patience
Up, up, up, up, up
Got me up, up, up, up
I like the interaction, you got my attention
I'm not in love, but I'm loving the situation
Up, up, up, up, up
If you're down, don't dare to stop
Go ahead and feel what you feel
I want you closer to me
Just say my name
Wear it out like a sweater that you love
'Cause I can't get enough when you
Say my name
Spill it out like a drink you should have skipped
You're the one I wanna get when you
Say my name
Let it roll, let it roll off your tongue
Let me know, let me know what you want
Wear it out like a sweater that you love
'Cause I can't get enough when you
Say my name
Say my name
Go ahead and feel what you feel
'Cause I need what I need, and I say what I mean
Just say my name (say my name)
Wear it out like a sweater that you love
'Cause I can't get enough when you
Say my name (say my name)
Spill it out like a drink you should have skipped
You're the one I wanna get when you
Say my name
Let it roll, let it roll off your tongue
Let me know, let me know what you want
Wear it out like a sweater that you love
'Cause I can't get enough when you
Say my name
Say my name
Say my name

Tessa Violet - Bad Ideas (Official Music Video)
"Bad Ideas"
I hope you don't think I'm rude
But I wanna make out with you
And I'm a little awkward, sure
But I could touch my face to yours, oh
And no one ever called me smooth
But I just wanna see the grooves between your hands, your teeth, oh
Tell me, do you think about me?
I just wanna kiss you
And even if I miss you
At least I'll know what it's like to have held your hand, oh!
No-o, hey!
Bad ideas, ay (oh!)
I know where they lead (hey, oh!)
But I have too many to sleep
And I can't get enough, no
I wanna kiss you standing up
Oh, no!
And if tomorrow makes me low (oh!)
Well it'd be worth it just to know
'Cause I can't get enough, no
I wanna kiss you standing up
O-oh!
Hey!
I don't know what compels me
To do the very thing that fells me
I wake up, still high on you
But by the night I'm crashing through
So why'd I wanna kiss you
Even though I miss you
Guess I just wanted to know what it would feel like, oh!
No-o, hey!
Bad ideas, ay (oh!)
I know where they lead (hey, oh!)
But I have too many to sleep
And I can't get enough, no
I wanna kiss you standing up
Oh, no!
And if tomorrow makes me low (oh!)
Well it'd be worth it just to know
'Cause I can't get enough, no
I wanna kiss you standing up
Oh!
Singing's a bad look on me
And if I'm talking honestly
It takes everything I got not to text, and
I just want a kiss to get me through
'Cause now all my bed-sheets smell like you, so
If you think you miss me
Come on back and kiss me
I just gotta know what you and I would feel like, oh!
No-o, hey!
Yikes
Bad ideas, ay (oh!)
I know where they lead (hey, oh!)
But I have too many to sleep
And I can't get enough, no
I wanna kiss you standing up
Oh, no!
And if tomorrow makes me low (oh!)
Well it'd be worth it just to know
'Cause I can't get enough, no
I wanna kiss you standing up
Hey!
Tessa Violet - I wanna be like you!
Now I'm the king of the swingers, oh, the jungle V.I.P
I reached the top and had to stop
And that's what's bothering me
I want to be a man, man-cub, and roll right into town
And be just like the other men
I'm tired of monkeying around
oh
Ooh-bi-doo, I wan'na be like you
I wan'na walk like you, talk like you, too
You see it's true, an ape like me
Can learn to be you, too
Now don't try to kid me, man-cub, I made a deal with you
What I desire is man's great fire to make my dream's come true
Now give me the secret, man-cub, ooooo, clue me what to do
Give me the power of man's red flower so I can be like you
oh
Ooh-bi-doo, I wan'na be like you
I wan'na walk like you, talk like you, too
You see it's true, an ape like me
Can learn to be you, too
Now I'm the king of the swingers, oh, the jungle V.I.P.
I reached the top and had to stop
And that's what bothering me
oh
Ooh-bi-doo, I wan'na be like you
I wan'na walk like you, talk like you, too
You see it's true, an ape like me
Can learn to be you, too
Ooh-bi-doo, I wan'na be like you
I wan'na walk like you, talk like humans do

Tessa Violet - Your Life Over Mine (Bry cover) -
"Your Life Over Mine"
My imperfections, you let them mean nothing
I'd have done the same with yours if you had any
But just because I'm a mess doesn't mean this has to end
Oh, I deem it a certainty, you'll never find such love again.
Take another step, take another step back, don't leave
Look at where we've been through time
I'll always value your life over mine
My limitations, we laughed about them
The irony of feeling small when I am over 6 feet tall had you sold on me
But just because I'm a mess doesn't mean this has to end
Don't let it end.
Take another step, take another step back, don't leave
Take another step, take another step back, don't leave
Look at where we've been through time
I'll always value your life over mine
Take another step, take another step back, don't leave
Take another step, take another step back, don't leave
Look at where we've been through time
I'll always value your life over mine
Take another step, take another step back, don't leave
Take another step, take another step back, don't leave
Look at where we've been through time
I'll always value your life over mine
Take another step, take another step back, don't leave
Look at where we've been through time
I'll always value your life over mine

London Grammar Wicked Game -
[Verse]
The world was on fire and no one can save me but you
It's strange what desire can make foolish people do
I'd never dreamed that I'd meet somebody like you
And I'd never dreamed that I'd lose somebody like you
[Chorus 1]
No I don't wanna fall in love
No I don't wanna fall in love
With you
[Chorus 2]
What a wicked thing to do
To make me dream of you
What a wicked thing to say
To make me feel this way
What a wicked thing to do
To make me dream of you
What a wicked thing to say
To make me feel this way
[Chorus 1]
And I don't wanna fall in love
No I don't wanna fall in love
With you
[Outro]
And I don't wanna fall in love
I don't wanna fall in love
Don't wanna fall in love
I don't want to fall in love
Don't wanna fall in love
I don't wanna fall in love
With you
London Grammar are an English indie pop band formed in Nottingham in 2009. The band consists of Hannah Reid, Dan Rothman and Dominic 'Dot' Major. Their debut extended play, Metal & Dust, was released in February 2013 by Metal & Dust Recordings, while their debut album, If You Wait, was released in September 2013. The album reached number two on the UK Albums Chart and was certified double platinum by the British Phonographic Industry (BPI). The band's second studio album, Truth Is a Beautiful Thing, was released in June 2017, peaking at number one on the UK Albums Chart. Vocalist Hannah Reid and guitarist Dan Rothman are originally from London and met in the Ancaster Hall of residence at the University of Nottingham during their first year in 2009. Rothman saw that Reid played the guitar and contacted her to see if she wanted to collaborate. They were joined by Northampton native Dominic 'Dot' Major (keyboard, djembe, drums) a year later, after he began playing music together with Rothman. They chose the name as "not only was it where we're from, but London is also so international and multicultural that it actually felt like quite a universal name in a way." After completing their studies in the middle of 2011, the trio moved down to London to pursue a career in music. By the end of the year they were managed by Conor Wheeler who began promoting them. The band began by playing low-key gigs at local bars, honing their material. They soon found themselves noticed by a number of A&R people, and they were signed with the Ministry of Sound while Big Life took over the management duties in the second half of 2012. In the same year the trio did some early recordings with Rollo Armstrong of Faithless and Liam Howe of Sneaker Pimps. Later in the year, the band continued to work with Tim Bran of Dreadzone and Roy Kerr, and by the end of the year most of the recording had been completed. On 12th December 2012, the trio posted their song "Hey Now" on YouTube; it immediately received a large amount of attention. London Grammar's music has been described as "a blend of ambient, ethereal and classical sounds" with melancholy guitar, soaring vocals, and plaintive lyrics. Hannah Reid's powerful, haunting vocals, prominent on all of London Grammar's tracks released to date, are often compared to those of Judie Tzuke and Florence Welch. The songs are a collaborative effort as Reid explains: "I write the lyrics and the top lines. But the songs initiate from all three of us. Dot will write a piano part or a music score. Dan will add some guitars." She describes the songs as "emotionally affected" and said that she "writes about people who come in and out of my life." Hannah Reid was born on 30 December 1989. She is the lead singer and songwriter of London Grammar. Reid grew up in Acton, and went to school in West London. She received classical vocal training, and wanted to pursue psychoanalysis as a career and worked as a hairdresser and in a bar before going to university. She was initially planning to pursue acting after earning a drama scholarship. Reid was studying art history and English at the University of Nottingham when she started the band. She met London Grammar guitarist Dan Rothman in a residence hall at the University of Nottingham in 2009. After seeing her playing the guitar, he sent her a Facebook message inviting Reid to form a band.
Her battle with stage fright has been widely reported; in an interview she said about being on stage “(...)sometimes the nerves don’t lift at all, and I just feel horrible, and panicky throughout.” To help combat this phobia, she started practicing Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT). She is gluten-intolerant, and in addition to avoiding certain foods, she also avoids drinking alcohol. She was caught in the middle of a Twitter polemic after the Radio 1 Breakfast Show sent out a sexist tweet about her appearance. Reid is also known for her expansive vocal range and emotive contralto voice.
Meg Myers - Running Up That Hill [Official Video]
"Running Up That Hill"
(originally by Kate Bush)
It doesn't hurt me
Do you want to feel how it feels?
Do you want to know that it doesn't hurt me?
Do you want to hear about the deal that I'm making?
It's you
It's you and me
And if I only could
I'd make a deal with God
And I'd get him to swap our places
Be running up that road
Be running up that hill
Be running up that building
Say, if I only could, oh...
You don't want to hurt me
But see how deep the bullet lies
Unaware I'm tearing you asunder
Oh, there is thunder in our hearts
Is there so much hate for the ones we love?
Tell me, we both matter, don't we?
You
It's you and me
It's you and me
You won't be unhappy
And if I only could
I'd make a deal with God
And I'd get him to swap our places
Be running up that road
Be running up that hill
Be running up that building
Say, if I only could, oh...
You
It's you and me
It's you and me
You won't be unhappy
C'mon, baby
C'mon darling
Let me steal this moment from you now
C'mon, angel
C'mon, c'mon, darling
Let's exchange the experience
Say, if I only could
I'd make a deal with God
And I'd get him to swap our places
Be running up that road
Be running up that hill
With no problems
Say, if I only could,
I'd make a deal with God
And I'd get him to swap our places
Be running up that road
Be running up that hill
With no problems
Say, if I only could...
No problem
Be running up that road
Be running up that hill
Be running up that road
Be running up that hill
Be running up that hill
Meg Myers (born October 6, 1986) is an American singer-songwriter and musician. Originally from Tennessee, Myers moved to Los Angeles to pursue music and met Doctor Rosen Rosen, who signed her to his production company. In 2012, Myers released her first EP, Daughter in the Choir. Later that year, she signed to Atlantic Records, with which she released the Make a Shadow EP (2014) and her debut album, Sorry (2015). She later departed Atlantic for 300 Entertainment and released Take Me to the Disco, her second album, in 2018. Born in Nashville, Myers spent the first five years of her life in Tennessee’s Smoky Mountains where she was raised by her father, a truck driver, and her mother, both formerly Jehovah's Witnesses, After her parents divorced, her mother married a comic book artist, who moved the family to Ohio. Her mother and stepfather ran a cleaning business. When she was 12, Myers and her siblings were taken out of school when the family moved, this time to Florida, where they remained throughout her teen years. During this period, Myers began singing, writing songs on keyboard, and teaching herself to play guitar. She played bass in a band named Feeling Numb that she started with her brother. A few days shy of her 20th birthday, Myers made the decision to move to Los Angeles to pursue a career in music. She lived in a studio apartment with her then-boyfriend, got a job waitressing at a coffee shop in Hollywood, and performed whenever she could secure a gig. Although the relationship with her boyfriend ended, Myers then met Rosen who signed her to his production company. The two began writing songs, including all of Daughter in the Choir and Make a Shadow. The full-length album Sorry followed in 2015. According to Myers, her goal for her music is simple, stating that "I want it to make people unafraid to feel." Myers's musical style is the result of her upbringing and childhood musical influences, as well as collaboration with her co-writer and producer Doctor Rosen Rosen. "I came from this grunge, punk-rock background, but I always wanted to write catchy pop songs," Myers says. "I just didn't have the technical knowledge to make them work. But I grew up listening to well-crafted songs. I loved Sting, Led Zeppelin, Dire Straits, James Taylor and Fleetwooed Mac. That's what I was drawn to. I love the simplicity of a great song, I just didn't realize how hard that was to capture in a recording. That's why working with Rosen is so great. It was like, 'Okay, I found this guy I can write songs with and who is really good at turning everything into pop, while still letting me be myself.'" According to Interview, "the lovelorn facets of Myers' dark, intimate music might evoke Sinead O'Connor or Fiona Apple, but there are also moments of tumult and menace that trace back to her teenage fascination with grunge bands such as Nirvana and Alice In Chains." Myers is also a fan of Enya, and that influence is apparent on sophomore album Take Me To The Disco. She confirmed the song "Some People" follows Enya's lead.

"Time After Time"
Lying in my bed, I hear the clock tick and think of you
Caught up in circles, confusion is nothing new
Flashback, warm nights almost left behind
Suitcases of memories, time after...
Sometimes you picture me, I'm walking too far ahead
You're calling to me, I can't hear what you've said
Then you say, "Go slow", I fall behind
The second hand unwinds
If you're lost, you can look and you will find me
Time after time
If you fall, I will catch you, I'll be waiting
Time after time
If you're lost, you can look and you will find me
Time after time
If you fall, I will catch you, I'll be waiting
Time after time
After my picture fades and darkness has turned to gray
Watching through windows, you're wondering if I'm OK
Secrets stolen from deep inside
The drum beats out of time
If you're lost, you can look and you will find me
Time after time
If you fall, I will catch you, I'll be waiting
Time after time
You said, "Go slow", I fall behind
The second hand unwinds
If you're lost, you can look and you will find me

She grew up in Hatfield and studied English at the University of Hull, where she graduated in 1984 with First Class Honours. She later took an MA degree at Birkbeck College, University of London. After 27 years as a couple, Thorn and the other half of Everything But The Girl, Ben Watt, married in 2008 at Chelsea Register Office. They live in Hampstead, North London. The couple have twin girls, Jean and Alfie, born in 1998, and a son, Blake, born in 2001. Thorn began her musical career in the punk-pop hybrid group Stern Bops playing guitar and providing some vocal backing. Thorn then formed Marine Girls as primary songwriter, playing guitar and sharing vocals. The band released two albums (Beach Party) in 1981 and Lazy Ways in 1983) and three singles. The group disbanded in 1983. Thorn met Ben Watt at the University of Hull where they were both students, and both signed as solo artists to Cherry Red Records. Their first album together was Eden, released in 1984. Everything but the Girl released a body of work that spanned two decades. Their biggest chart success came in 1995, when DJ Todd Terry remixed a song from their Amplified Heart album. "Missing" became a hit in many countries. Everything but the Girl has been inactive since 2000. Watt has played on some filmed performances of Thorn's solo work and on her 2011 recording of the xx's "Night Time" Virago published Thorn's memoir Bedsit Disco Queen: How I Grew Up and Tried to Be a Pop Star early in 2013. It received widespread critical acclaim and was a Sunday Times Top Ten best-seller. In 2015 Virago published her second book, Naked at the Albert Hall, about singers and singing. Her most recent book is Another Planet: A Teenager in Suburbia (2019).

i-Ten - ,,Alone"
I hear the ticking of the clock
I'm lying here, the room's pitch dark
I wonder where you are tonight
No answer on the telephone
And the night goes by so very slow
Oh, I hope that it won't end though
Alone
I always got by on my own
I never really cared until I met you
And now it chills me to the bone
How do I get you alone?
How do I get you alone?
You don't know how long I have wanted
To touch your lips and hold you tight, oh tight
You don't know how long I have waited
And I was going to tell you tonight
But the secret is still my own
And my love for you is still unknown
Alone
I always got by on my own
I never really cared until I met you
And now it chills me to the bone
How do I get you alone
Tell me, how do I get you alone?
How do I get you alone?
How do I get you alone?
Alone, alone
i-Ten was a short-lived hard rock/AOR venture by the legendary '80s pop songwriting team of Billy Steinberg (guitar/vocals) and Tom Kelly (guitar/keyboards/vocals), who had had some success writing for others but hadn't yet hit the big time. Steinberg and Kelly teamed up with a number of rock session vets, including Toto's Steve Lukather, Steve Porcaro, and David Paich, plus Journey drummer Mike Baird, Richard Page (later of Mr. Mister), and others. i-Ten's lone album, Taking a Cold Look, was released in 1983 and co-produced by Lukather and Keith Olsen. While it produced no hit singles (and most of the musicians returned to their day jobs), the title track was later covered by Honeymoon Suite, and the ballad "Alone" was taken to the top of the charts by Heart in 1987. By that time, Steinberg and Kelly would be established pop hitmakers, penning songs like Madonna's "Like a Virgin," Cyndi Lauper's "True Colors," Whitney Houston's "So Emotional," and the Bangles' "Eternal Flame."
Originally from Indiana, Kelly lived in Effingham, Illinois from 1963 to 1966, before moving back to West Lafayette, Indiana where he graduated from West Lafayette High School in 1967. Kelly attended Eastern Illinois University, Southern Illinois University Carbondale and Purdue University, but dropped out of college to pursue his music career. He played bass guitar and sang in several bands throughout Illinois and Indiana in the late 1960s and early 1970s, including the Trifaris, the Gaping Huggers, the One Eyed Jacks, and the Guild. In 1974 Kelly moved to Los Angeles with his first wife and two children. He played in Dan Fogelberg's backup band, and joined with other members of the band under the name 'Fools Gold' to release two albums in 1976 and 1977. Kelly became a prominent session singer in Los Angeles, singing backing vocals for many recording artists. He accompanied Toto on their 1979 World Tour as a backing vocalist and rhythm guitarist, and sang background vocals on the Toto albums TotoIV, Isolation and The Seventh One, In 1981 he wrote his first hit song, "Fire and Ice" with Pat Benatar for her album Precious Time. After Kelly met Steinberg at a party in 1981, the duo began writing songs together, with Steinberg as lyricist and Kelly the principal music writer. Steinberg and Kelly wrote songs for a variety of popular music artists, including five number-one singles on the Billboard Top 100 chart. The pair also joined together as 'i-Ten' to release the album "Taking a Cold Shower" in 1983. Kelly lost enthusiasm for songwriting in the mid-1990s, and went into semi-retirement in 1998. He remarried and had two more children with his second wife. As of 2011, he lives in Thousand Oaks, California near Sherwood Country Club where he enjoys playing golf regularly.
Ollie Wride - Back To Life (Official Video)
Cold light streaming but my heart’s still beating from a memory
With these hands I’m seeing
Clinging for some heaven that you gave to me
Like a wire to my blood, keep me high, make me a believer
You gave me reason in the dark, I’ll take the dive
If you bring me back to life…
Back to life, you bring me back to life
Bring me back to life
I got my head and vision from a soul decision to set me straight
I tread the longest line down the streets of my mind
Just to see your face, again
Now I’ve been pushing for so long to the surface, to be high
Like a drop onto the fire
One more reason to restart and I’ll take the dive
If you bring me back to life…
Back to life, you bring me back to life
Bring me back to life
If you bring me back to life
I ain’t ever gonna let you go
I won’t ever let the times take hold
I won’t ever let you pass on by
Become a ghost at the back of my mind
Like a wire to my blood, keep me high…
Back to life, you bring me back to life
Bring me back to life
Ohhh, oh oh
Bring me back to life
Ahh, ahh, ahh, ahh, ah
Ahh, ahh, ahh, ahh, ah
Bring me back to life
Ahh, ahh, ahh, ahh, ah
Ahh, ahh, ahh, ahh, ah
Bring me back to life
Ahh, ahh, ahh, ahh, ah
Ahh, ahh, ahh, ahh, ah
I ain’t ever gonna let you go
I won’t ever let the times take hold
Ahh, ahh, ahh, ahh, ah
Ahh, ahh, ahh, ahh, ah
I won’t ever let you pass on by
Become a ghost at the back of my mind

FM-84 - Running In The Night (feat. Ollie Wride) - [OFFICIAL MUSIC VIDEO]
[Verse 1]
I used to be the one
I used to be your getaway dreamer
I couldn’t get enough
Thinking that we would last forever
Don’t know what you’re thinking of
Slipping further out of reach
To the edge of town we could go
Away from all the world to see
You were wild trying to set yourself free
I didn’t see the signs right in front of me
[Chorus]
Oh, I’m running in the night so soon
I’ve got nothing left to lose
I’m leaving it all behind, running in the night with you
I won’t let you get away again
We can see it through to the end
But whatever we do
I'm running in the night with you
[Verse 2]
I used to be the one
I used to be your place to land
Under the shadows
Into the palm of my hand
You’re always changing the situation
Just when we found paradise
You’re always shutting down the conversation
I can never read your mind
[Chorus]
Oh, I’m running in the night so soon
I’ve got nothing left to lose
I’m leaving it all behind, running in the night with you
I won’t let you get away again
We can see it through to the end
But whatever we do
I'm running in the night with you
[Bridge]
Ahh, ahh, ahh, ahh
Running with the night
Ahh, ahh, ahh, ahh
I’m running with the night
I used to be the one
I used to be your getaway dreamer
I couldn’t get enough
Thinking that we would last forever
[Chorus]
Oh, I’m running in the night so soon
I’ve got nothing left to lose
I’m leaving it all behind, running in the night with you
I won’t let you get away again
We can see it through to the end
But whatever we do
I'm running in the night with you
Oh, I’m running in the night so soon
I’ve got nothing left to lose
I’m leaving it all behind, running in the night with you
I won’t let you get away again
We can see it through to the end
But whatever we do
I'm running in the night with you

Opeth - To Bid You Farewell -
Opeth is a Swedish progressive metal band from Stockholm, formed in 1989. The group has been through several personnel changes, including the replacement of every single original member. Lead vocalist, guitarist and songwriter Mikael Akerfeldt has remained Opeth's primary driving force since the departure of original vocalist David Isberg in 1992. Opeth has consistently incorporated progressive, folk, blues, classical, and jazz influences into its usually lengthy compositions, as well as strong influences from death metal, especially in their early works. Many songs include acoustic guitar passages and strong dynamic shifts, as well as both death growls and clean vocals. Opeth is also well known for their incorporation of Mellotrons in their work. Opeth rarely made live appearances supporting their first four albums, but since conducting their first world tour after the 2001 release of Blackwater Park, they have led several major world tours. Opeth has released 13 studio albums, four live DVDs, four live albums (three that are in conjunction with DVDs), and two boxsets. The band released its debut album Orchid in 1995. Although their eighth studio album, Ghost Reveries, was quite popular in the United States, Opeth did not experience major American commercial success until the 2008 release of their ninth studio album, Watershed, which peaked at No. 23 on the Billboard 200, and topped the Finnish albums chart in its first week of release. As of November 2009, Opeth has sold over 1.5 million copies of their albums and DVDs worldwide, including 300,000 collective SoundScans of their albums Blackwater Park, Damnation, and Deliverance in the United States.
