Christine and the Queens - Girlfriend (feat. Dâm-Funk) (Official Music Video)

Chris!

I'm gone in a flick, but back in a second
With salted skin, rash for no reason
Boys are loading their arms, girls gasp with envy
F-f-for whom are they mimicking endlessly?
Same old sadness in small lumps on my jaw
For lusting after is the usual freak show
May your girl come, birdie die under this spur
F-f-f-fingers angrily sunk on the jugular, then girlfriend

Don't feel like a girlfriend
But lover
Damn, I'd be your lover
Girlfriend
Don't feel like a girlfriend
But lover
Damn, I'd be your lover (touché, touché yeah)

Yes sir, I am wet, for I abandoned my fame in the lake
Let's see now how fast you're breathing
And how long this will all take
Those who used to pass by me think they are baffling a liar
F-fuck is you? You don't even taste much better!
Came back steaming in sweats in the morning
I muscled in for I wanted to hold him
Then shriveled to let those bird-dogs rage through
F-fuck is me? F-fuck is you, f-fuck is you, now, girlfriend

Don't feel like a girlfriend
But lover
Damn, I'd be your lover
Girlfriend
Don't feel like a girlfriend
But lover
Damn, I'd be your lover

Chris, I don't know why you trippin'

Touché, touché, touché, touché
Touché, touché, touché, touché
Touché, touché, touché, touché

You got to keep on rollin' girl, keep rollin', rollin' (touché, touché)

Touché, touché, touché, touché (b-b-b-baby)
Touché, touché, touché, touché (b-b-b-baby)
Touché, touché, touché, touché (b-b-b-baby)
Touché, touché, touché, touché (b-b-b-baby) (oh no, yeah)

Girlfriend lyrics © Kobalt Music Publishing Ltd.

With her poignant, thought-provoking electronic pop, French singer, songwriter, choreographer, and dancer Héloïse Adelaïde Letissier professionally known as Christine and the Queens or simply Chris was born on 1st June 1988. Chris  blurs the lines between theater, singing, and dance as skillfully as she plays with the concepts of gender, sexuality, and identity. Influenced by the theatrical pop of David Bowie and Laurie Anderson, as well as the choreography of Michael Jackson. she often combines her atmospheric music with computer-based multimedia presentations. Christines's 2014 debut album, Chaleur Humaine, which explored her turbulent adolescence as a queer woman, announced her as a distinctively vulnerable talent on the strength of the singles "St. Claude" and "Tilted." She delved even deeper on 2018's Chris, an examination of gender stereotypes set to '80s R&B sounds that underscored her commitment to making listeners think, feel, and move. Born in Nantes France to a teacher and English professor, Christine grew up in an artistic, literary household and took piano and dance lessons at an early age. Later Christine studied theater at École Normale Supérieure de Lyon (ENS Lyon) and moved to Paris in 2010. Following a bad breakup, Chris created the persona of Christine and embarked on a music career, taking the Christine and the Queens moniker as an homage to the drag queens who danced with her while she performed. She released her debut EP, Miséricorde, in 2011, and followed it with 2012's Mac Abbey. That year, Christine and the Queens' dynamic stage shows won the Best Discovered Act award at Le Printemps de Bourges festival and the Premières Francos award at another festival, Les Francofolies de La Rochelle. With 2013's Nuit 17 a 52 EP, Letissier  made her debut on the French albums chart SNEP. In 2014, Letissier delivered Christind and the Queens' debut full-length album, Chaleur Humaine,  a set of songs inspired by her teenage years that featured the single "Saint Claude." Early in 2015, Letissier won the Victoires de la Musique for 2014's Best Female Artist; later that year, Chaleur Humaine was reissued on Atlantic in the United States as Christine and the Queens, and featured the English-language single "Tilted." The album was also reissued as a deluxe edition in the U.K. in 2016, a year that saw Christine and the Queens cover Beyonce's "Sorry" and the BBC choose Letissier as one of its 100 Women of the Year.Letissier wrote and produced the project's second album, Chris, a set of songs that incorporated tougher, '80s funk and R&B influences and lyrics that questioned traditional gender roles. Featuring the Dam-Funk collaboration "Girlfriend," the album arrived in French and English versions in September 2018.

John Mayer - New Light (Premium Content!)

Ah ah ah
Ah

I'm the boy in your other phone
Lighting up inside your drawer at home all alone
Pushing 40 in the friend zone
We talk and then you walk away every day
Oh, you don't think twice 'bout me
And maybe you're right to doubt me, but

But if you give me just one night
You're gonna see me in a new light
Yeah, if you give me just one night
To meet you underneath the moonlight
Oh, I want a take two, I want to breakthrough
I wanna know the real thing about you
So I can see you in a new light

Take a ride up to Malibu
I just wanna stay to look at you, look at you
What would it matter if your friends knew?
Who cares what other people say anyway
Oh, we can go far from the end
And make a new world together baby

'Cause if you give me just one night
You're gonna see me in a new light
Yeah, if you give me just one night
To meet you underneath the moonlight
Oh, I want a take two, I want to breakthrough
I wanna know the real thing about you
So I can see you in a new light

Ay, ay
Ay, ay
Ay, ay
Ay, ay
Ay, ay
Ay, ay
Ay, ay

Ah ah ah ah ah
Yeah, if you give me just one night
You gonna see me in a new light
Yeah, if you give me just one night
To meet you underneath the moonlight

What do I do with all this?
What do I do with all this love that's running through my veins for you
What do I do with all this?
What do I do with all this love that's running through my veins for you
What do I do with all this?
What do I do with all this love that's running through my veins for you
What do I do with all this?
What do I do with all this, oh yeah

John Clayton Mayer is an American singer-songwriter, guitarist, and producer. Famous for his special skills in guitar and his artistic pursuit for classy pop-rock songs, he has earned major chart success in the US and other countries. Known for both his solo career and his career with the ‘John Mayer Trio’ group, the knowledgeable musician has millions of fans across the globe. He picked up a guitar at the age of 13 and took lessons for two years. Then through his strong perseverance and determination, he started a career in music. His big break came when he performed at the ‘2000 South by Southwest Music Festival’ in Austin following which Aware Records signed him . The winner of seven Grammy Awards, he at times changed his musical styles and became successful across genres, establishing himself in contemporary rock and broadening his scope to incorporate the blues. TIME applauded him for his “vigorous voice texture, and emotional fearlessness”. Most of his albums are commercially successful and have been accredited multi-platinum.

John Clayton Mayer was born on October 16, 1977 in Bridgeport, Connecticut. He grew up in Fairfield. His father Richard was a high school principal, and his mother Margaret Mayer was a middle school English teacher. He has two brothers.
For his junior year, he attended the Center for Global Studies at Brien McMahon High School in Norwalk.
He first became fascinated with guitar after watching Michael J. Fox's guitar performance in a movie, and he fell in love with blues music after he heard a Stevie Ray Vaughan cassette.
When he was 13, his father rented a guitar for him. He started taking lessons, and got so engrossed in it that his concerned parents took him to a psychiatrist, who declared him healthy. Later he said that his parents' troubled marriage often forced him to "disappear in his own world.”
While he was in high school, he started playing guitar at bars and other venues. He also joined a band called Villanova Junction and played with Tim Procaccini, Rich Wolf, and Joe Beleznay.
When he was 17, he was diagnosed with cardiac dysrhythmia, and was hospitalized. He said that during that period, he realized that he had a songwriter in him too. He also suffered from panic attacks, and is still on anti-anxiety medication.
He wanted to skip college to pursue a career in music, but his parents persuaded him to enroll in the Berklee College of Music in 1997, at the age of 19. However, he left Berklee after two semesters and moved to Atlanta with his college friend Clay Cook. They formed a two-man band, ‘Lo-Fi Masters’, and began performing in local clubs and other places. Soon they parted ways and Mayer started a solo career.

John Mayer released his debut EP, ‘Inside Wants Out’ on September 24, 1999. The album was re-released by Columbia Records in 2002. Some of the songs, such as ‘Back to You’, ‘My Stupid Mouth’, and ‘No Such Thing’ were again recorded for his debut album ‘Room for Squares’.
His debut studio album ‘Room for Squares’ was released on June 5, 2001. The album peaked at No. 8 on US Billboard 200 chart. It is his best-selling album to date, having sold over 4,484,000 copies in the US.
His second studio album ‘Heavier Things’ was released on September 9, 2003. Although his songwriting received negative criticism, the album generated positive reviews.
In 2005, he formed a rock band ‘The John Mayer Trio’ with bassist Pino Palladino and drummer Steve Jordan in which he served as the guitarist. The band released a live album, ‘Try!’ in 2005.
His third studio album ‘Continuum’ was released on September 12, 2006. The album incorporated musical elements of blues, marking a change in Mayer's musical style. Music critics praised the album, and Mayer received several accolades.
His fourth studio album, ‘Battle Studies’ was released on November 17, 2009. It enjoyed commercial success not only in the US, but also in several other countries. Two of its singles received chart success. The album also received acclaims from the music critics, and was certified platinum by RIAA.
His fifth studio album, ‘Born and Raised’ was released on May 22, 2012. Its first single, ‘Shadow Days’ was released on Mayer's blog before the release of the album. The second single, ‘Queen of California’ was released on Hot AC radio on August 13, 2012, and its official video was released on July 30, 2012.
'Something Like Olivia’, the third single of the album ‘Born and Raised’, incorporated some musical elements of folk and Americana, marking another change in Mayer's musical style. Critics praised his technical skills.
Mayer’s sixth studio album, ‘Paradise Valley’, was released August 20, 2013. The album features musical breaks and instrumentals, and consisted of electric guitars instead of harmonica.

Its first single ‘Paper Doll’, was released on June 18, 2013, followed by ‘Wildfire’ on July 16, 2013. The third single ‘Who You Love’ impacted Hot AC radio on September 3. The next single ‘Paradise Valley’ was available to stream on August 13.
On April 15, 2014, Mayer covered ‘XO’ at a concert in Australia. His version features acoustic stripped-down rendition with guitar, piano and harmonica. MTV praised his version for simplicity. It debuted at No. 90 on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart, and sold 46,000 copies.
Columbia and Sony Music released his seventh studio album ‘The Search for Everything’ on April 14, 2017.
John Mayer also performed with ‘Dead & Company’ a band consisting of Bob Weir, Mickey Hart, Bill Kreutzmann, Oteil Burbridge, and Jeff Chimenti. The band started a tour on May 27, 2017, which ended on July 1. The tour was well received.

John Mayer’s debut album ‘Room for Squares’ received positive reviews from music critics. His second studio album ‘Heavier Things’ debuted at No. 1 on US Billboard 200 chart, and sold 317,000 copies in the first week.
His ’Continuum’ album debuted at No 2 on the US Billboard 200 chart, and sold 300,186 copies in the first week. Eventually, it sold over 3 million copies worldwide. The album ‘Battle Studies’ debuted at No. 1 on US Billboard 200 chart, and sold over a million copies in the US.

John Mayer has won seven Grammy Awards from 19 nominations. He collected a Grammy Award for Best Male Pop Vocal Performance for his single ‘Your Body Is a Wonderland’ from the album ‘Room for Squares’ in 2003.
The ‘Continuum’ album also earned him a Grammy Award for Best Pop Vocal Album. He received two Grammy Awards for ‘Daughters’ in the categories Song of the Year and Best Male Pop Vocal Performance in 2005.
Some of the other awards he has received are MTV Video Music Awards, ASCAP Award, American Music Award, and many others

John Mayer has dated actress Jennifer Love Hewitt, singer Jessica Simpson, singer Taylor Swift, and actress Minka Kelly among other prominent show biz personalities.
In 2002, he formed an NGO, ‘Back to You’ Fund , that fundraises for healthcare, education, arts and talent development.
He supports campaigns creating awareness about climate change and has performed a number of times for charity. He also supports Elton John AIDS Foundation.
Despite resolving to avoid drugs early in his career, he admitted in 2006 that he used marijuana. He was also involved in a serious controversy for making “racist” comments in an interview, for which he later apologized.
He is an avid collector of watches. In March 2014, he sued watch dealer Robert Maron for $656,000 saying that seven of the watches he bought from Maron contained counterfeit parts. However, the next year Mayer released a statement saying that the dealer never sold him any counterfeit watch.

Flames lyrics © BMG Rights Management, Sony/ATV Music Publishing LLC, Kobalt Music Publishing Ltd., Shapiro Bernstein & Co. Inc.

"Flames" is a song by French DJ and record producer David Guetta and Australian singer-songwriter Sia. The song was released on 22 March 2018 by What a Music, as the third single from Guetta's seventh studio album, 7 (2018). It was written by Sia Furler, Guetta, Christopher Braide, Giorgio Tuinfort and Marcus van Wattum, with production handled by the latter three. The song became the seventh collaboration between Guetta and Sia after the pair have previously collaborated on the tracks "Titanium", "She Wolf (Falling to Pieces)", "Wild One Two", "Bang My Head", "The Whisperer" and "Helium".  In a press release, Guetta opened up about the pair's history and his excitement at the prospect of getting back in the studio with her. "'Titanium' is still one of the tracks I am proudest of and Sia is one of my favorite artists to work with. She's a great songwriter and has an amazing voice. I'm just super excited that we get to release another track together." At the ARIA Music Awards of 2018, "Flames" earned Sia a nomination for Best Female Artist. The song is performed in the key of F minor with a tempo of 94 beats per minute in common time. The chorus of the song follows a progression of Cm–E♭–Fm–D♭, and Sia's vocals span from B♭3 to C5. A lyric video for "Flames" was released on 22 March 2018. It was directed by Joe Rubinstein. The official music video for "Flames" was released on 5 April 2018 on Guetta's YouTube channel. The video emulates 1970s wuxia films and features three women (Lauren Mary Kim, Courtney Chen and Erin Wu) training with their martial arts master (Danny Trejo).  The training includes chopping a block of wood, balancing wooden buckets, and catching a fly with chopsticks, but suddenly they are ambushed by a group of ninjas, and the master allows himself to be killed. The three are then captured and taken to the palace, where they encounter the emperor (Guetta). Then the three break free and fight all the ninjas, but the emperor defeats them by throwing fireballs. The master then reappears in ghostly form, and encourages them to fight back. Eventually, the three defeat the emperor by forcing his fire-casting hands down to his crotch hence burning him to the ground in a rather painful way, ending with the master watching them from above happily. The video was directed by Lior Molcho. The song was well received by music critics. Roisin O'Connor of The Independent said: "The track is classic Sia, starring her incredible voice and a big, emotive chorus; it's an uplifting, low-key banger that shows off the maturity Sia has brought to previous Guetta tracks, along with his talent for an infectious beat." Dean Chalkley of edm.com said: "Once again, Guetta showcases his skills in providing a massive pop-house hybrid ready to take over the radio stations all over the world, offering a perfect foundation to Sia's distinctly powerful and unique voice. With a bit slower tempo, a new pop ballad is just what one could expect from the duo." Mike Nied from Idolator called it "an inspiring anthem complete with a rousing production and another of the 'Chandelier' siren's jaw-dropping vocal lines." Brittany Spanos of Rolling Stone described the song as "uplifting": "On the song, Guetta goes for a less clubby sound than usual. The song is more earnest as Sia offers words of encouragement to a loved one weathering a tough time."

Niall Horan - On The Loose (Official) -

I know what she's like
She's out of her mind
And wraps herself around the truth
She'll jump on that flight and meet you that night
And make you tear up the room

Yeah, she loves when everybody's watching
She knows the way her body moves
She loves the way they all crawl back when she says
That she loves nobody else but you

She's on the loose (she's coming, she's coming)
She's on the loose (she's coming)
She's coming for you
She's on the loose (she's coming, she's coming)
She's on the loose (she's coming, she's coming for you)

She'll dance in the dark
A real work of art
Her eyes could burn down the room
So get out while you can
You don't understand
She doesn't know how to lose

Yeah, she loves when everybody's watching
She knows the way her body moves
She loves the way they all crawl back when she says
That she loves nobody else but you

She's on the loose (she's coming, she's coming)
She's on the loose (she's coming)
She's coming for you
She's on the loose (she's coming, she's coming)
She's on the loose (she's coming, she's coming for you)

She'll run with your mind and pull you in tight
Then trade you in for something new
I know what it's like, I fell for it twice
And now I'm just warning you

She loves when everybody's watching
She knows the way her body moves
She loves the way they all crawl back when she says
That she loves nobody else but you

She loves when everybody's watching
She knows the way her body moves
She loves the way they all crawl back when she says
That she loves nobody else but you

She's on the loose (she's coming, she's coming)
She's on the loose (she's coming)
She's coming for you
She's on the loose (she's coming, she's coming)
She's on the loose (she's coming, she's coming for you)

She's on the loose
She's on the loose

Niall James Horan born 13 September 1993) is an Irish singer and songwriter. He rose to prominence as a member of the band 'One Direction'. In 2010, Horan auditioned as a solo contestant for British singing competition 'The X Factor'. After being eliminated as solo performers, Niall, Liam Payne, Louis Tomlinson, Zayn Malik, and Harry Styles were put together in a band. Following the band's hiatus in 2016, Horan signed a recording deal as a solo artist with Capitol Records. His singles "This Town" and "Slow Hands" from his debut studio album 'Flicker' (2017) reached the top 20 in several countries. The album debuted at number one in Ireland and the United States, as well as charting within the top three in Australia and the UK. He embarked on the 'Flicker Sessions tour' (2017) and the Flicker World Tour (2018) to support the album. Niall James Horan was born on 13 September 1993 in Mullingar, Ireland.  He has an older brother, Greg Horan. His parents, Bobby Horan and Maura Gallagher, divorced when he was five years old, so he and his brother, Greg, lived with their mother for a year. After spending a year apart from their father, they later decided to move in with him. He had asthma as a child. He attended St. Kenny's National School, a primary school, and Colaiste Mhuire,  a Catholic boys school, which are both located in Mullingar. Horan tried to play the guitar that his brother got for Christmas, but was not able to play it. Horan, then aged 11, taught himself how to play the guitar by following YouTube tutorials. His aunt discovered his talent one day when she was in the car with Niall as he started singing. She originally thought the radio was on. As a teenager, he performed at the Mullingar Arts Centre during a fund-raiser for the local football team, the Shamrocks. He was also bagging a support slot with former X Factor contestant Lloyd Daniels at the Academy club in Dublin. Horan's solo debut album was described as being on the "folkier side of pop", incorporating elements of folk music as well as pop, rock, and country music. In an interview with Digital Spy, Horan cited 'Michael Buble as one of his biggest influences because they had similar life histories, as he was discovered by his aunt and the same thing happened to Bublé, except he was discovered by his father. Horan enjoyed playing a number of sports while growing up, including golf, football, and Gaelic football. In the summer of 2010, while playing football with friends, he injured his knee and was diagnosed with a floating kneecap. The problem recurred several times over the next couple of years, including a 2013 incident where he dislocated his knee onstage during a concert in Antwerp, Belgium. Horan went to the United States for major reconstructive surgery in January 2014, after the tour ended. After the surgery, he was invited to do physical therapy with Chelsea by their manager, Jose Mourinho. Horan went through more than seven weeks of physical therapy with the members of the team and their physical therapist at their training ground in Surrey. Horan is a supporter of Football League Championship side Derby County. In 2016, Horan was actively involved with the Drive, Chip, and Putt initiative that encourages and supports children golfers. Horan also helped promote the Northern Ireland Open. In April 2018, Horan opened up on his diagnosis of mild OCD and his anxiety. As a former member of One Direction, Horan was involved in the Action 1D campaign that "aims to end extreme poverty, tackle inequality and slow down climate change with the help of their millions of fans". The band also supported Comic Relief.

Three hundred million year old volcanoes have been discovered under the midlands. A low flying aircraft using the latest mapping technology has uncovered the 330 million-year-old rock formations on the Westmeath/Offaly border  south of Mullingar. The discoveries were made in the latest part of the Government’s Tellus programme. Flying at 90metres, aircraft use technology to see through Ireland’s deep glacial deposits and extensive peat cover. Researchers said the sites will be of interest to companies on the look out for mineral deposits. Ray Scanlon, principal geologist at the Geological Survey of Ireland, said: “Tellus continues to reveal extraordinary new detail in Ireland’s geological landscape buried beneath our feet, building upon existing data gaps and developing natural resource opportunities. “An understanding of Ireland’s geology is vital for environmental, health and economic reasons and the data will be welcomed by a broad range of stakeholders for agricultural, radon prevention, groundwater protection and mineral exploration purposes.” Tellus aims to complete a geological jigsaw of the island of Ireland and hopes to have half the country covered by the end of 2017.

One Direction star Niall Horan will never have to pay for a round of golf in his native Mullingar again after he was made an honourary lifetime member of his hometown club. As he picked up the award in front of a packed Mullingar Golf Club on Saturday night, Niall joked that pal Rory McIlroy would be jealous of the honour, as he is a big fan of the parkland course. Niall said he and McIlroy were playing a round of golf in Australia a few weeks ago when they found themselves reminiscing about the Mullingar parkland course, remembering particular holes and obstacles on them. "We were joking as to who could hit a shot over the big trees on the tenth hole," Niall told members of the club as he picked up his lifetime free pass. "He was picking out trees on the tenth that he likes to play over and I was thinking to myself 'Holy God, this is a good golf club'". Horan said he and McIlroy were in agreement that Mullingar was one of the finest courses they have played, but McIlroy will have to pay next time he's in Westmeath, something that Horan laughed about on Saturday. "I said to him the other day that you don't have this and you're the best golfer in the world!" When Niall joined the club aged 12 he paid a Junior Sub, and the 21 year old singing star has been happy to pay green fees every time he has played in recent years. Indeed, earlier this year, between Croke Park shows, big-hearted Niall hosted a pro-am classic which raised thousands for local charities. Mullingar is home to the Scratch Cup, the top Irish tournament for amateurs which McIlroy won in 2006 having been beaten in a play off the year before. Other golfers to have won the Scratch Cup included Darren Clarke, Des Smyth, Philip Walton, Paul McGinley, Shane Lowry and Padraig Harrington, who is also an honourary member along with local GUI official Albert Lee, one of the men man who discovered McIlroy all those years ago. Bestowing the honour upon Niall Horan was Club Captain Michael Duffy and Lady Captain Una Stephens. Noting how Horan started off in Mullingar as a junior golfer in 2006 on a handicap of 80 they said he would currently be ranked as one of the best players in the country, having gotten himself down to a handicap of 11. Niall has been out an about in Mullingar throughout the Christmas and was spotted in Finns Bar and Joe Dolan's nightclub 'Mojos'. The singer's mother Maura Gallagher and father Bobby Horan were with him as he received the honour at the golf club.

Interesting facts about Mullinger Ireland.

Mullingar is home to some outstanding sporting stadiums. The Mullingar Greyhound Stadium offers a great night. Whether you want to place some bets, have a drink, a bite to eat or just watch the races, all are on offer here. Not only is individual admission tendered, but corporate parties, stags and hens are also catered for. Sitting on the banks of the River Brosna and neighbouring Lough Ennell, Lough Owel and Lough Derravaragh there are plenty of water activities available. There are a plethora of scenic angling locations for the enthusiastic fisherman. In fact, the locals in the fishing tackle shops are more than happy to offer their expert knowledge on these areas based on your preference of fish or rod. Why not take a boat out on the tranquil waters? Your options are limitless. Derrymore Springs, a water adventure centre helps you to decide on how best to splash in the sun. You can partake in rafting, kayaking, peddle boating, aqua golf and much more. The friendly experienced staff only enhance the experience. However, if you are less athletically inclined there a number of boat tours and cruises available, or of course, a good old-fashioned stroll by the water may entice you. They say the key to the heart is through the stomach. No visit to any town would be complete without sampling the local cuisine. In additional the normal fast food chains, there are some delightful restaurants to tingle your taste buds. In what was once a landmark in Winning Streak, Belvedere House is conceivably Mullingar’s most well-known tourist attraction. This stunning estate has an intriguing history. This can be experienced through one of the tours on offer. If history was never your favourite subject in school fear not, Mullingar has its fair share of retail outlets, so you can shop ‘til you drop. In addition to main street shopping, Mullingar also possesses not one, but two shopping centres, Harbour Place Shopping Centre and Fair Green Shopping Centre. Not to mention the staple of Irish fashion, a very large Penneys store. Whatever your hearts desire you can be sure to find it on the streets of Mullingar. This quaint town flaunts some cultural gems. Mullingar’s appreciation for the arts is obvious. For those of you who adore the arts be sure to check out The Mullingar Arts Centre. Opened in 1998 this auditorium was housed in the newly renovated County Hall. This town has produced the likes of Joe Dolan, Niall Breslin (The Blizzards), Niall Horan (One Direction) and The Academic to name a few. These talented Mullingar natives have reached recognition on a global level. Despite all the fame and stardom, they haven’t forgotten where they came from. Does that not make you wonder what is so special about this little town?

I Don't Want It At All - Kim Petras (Official Music Video)

Jake Bugg - Waiting (Official Music Video) ft. Noah Cyrus -

All the time before I knew you
Seems now it's so long
And I cannot explain
Even if I try
No, you never make it easy
Know it's hard to be strong
But all in good time
I can wait

I'll be waiting
I'll be waiting
For I cannot explain
Even if I try
When you're leaving
I'll be waiting
For I cannot refuse you
I've tried

All the years spent together
Slowly aging on
And I wonder just what's wrong
Are you tired?

I'll be waiting
I'll be waiting
For I cannot explain
Even if I try
When you're leaving
Lord knows I'll be waiting
For I cannot refuse you
I've tried

Jake Bugg (born Jake Edwin Charles Kennedy; 28 February 1994) is an English musician, singer, and songwriter. His self-titled debut album Jake Bugg, some of which was co-written with songwriter Iain Archer, was released in October 2012 and reached number one on the UK Albums Chart.  His second album, 'Shangri La, was released in November 2013 and his third, largely self-produced album 'On My One', in June 2016. His fourth album 'Hearts That Strain' a largely acoustic effort, produced by Dan Auerbach,  was released in September 2017. Jake Bugg was born Jake Edwin Charles Kennedy in Nottingham to musical parents who separated when he was young. His father, whose last name was Bugg, was a nurse, and his mother worked in sales, both parents having previously made recordings. He grew up in the Clifton council estate of Nottingham and started playing guitar at the age of 12 after being introduced to the instrument by his uncle Mark. He attended 'The Farnborough Academy'  (then known as the Farnborough School Technology College) in Clifton. He also states that his formative musical moment was hearing Don McLean's "Vincent (Starry, Starry Night)" on an episode of 'The Simpsons'. He was enrolled in a music technology course but, by the age of 16, he had dropped out and was writing and performing his own songs. Bugg was selected to perform on the "BBC Introducing" stage at the 2011 Glastonbury Festival at age 17 after submitting material to their website, and subsequently signed to Mercury Records.  His songs were then placed on various BBC Radio playlists, with "Country Song" being used in a national TV beer commercial for Greene King IPA. In December 2018 Bugg signed to Sony's RCA label in a bid to relaunch his career. In June 2017 Bugg was confirmed as the shirt sponsor of his favourite and local football team, Notts County, taking the November slot in a season-long rotation.

Noah Cyrus (born January 8, 2000) is an American singer, songwriter and actress. In 2016, she released her debut single "Make Me (Cry)", featuring vocals from Labrinth. Cyrus is the fifth child of Billy Ray and Tish Cyrus and the youngest sibling of Trace, Brandi, and Miley Cyrus. She was named one of Time's 30 Most Influential Teens in 2017. Cyrus dated rapper Lil Xan from June to September 2018.  Cyrus is known to be vocal about her mental health challenges. She experiences depression and anxiety, with panic attacks as part of the latter. She has stated she goes to therapy to address these challenges. Her music often relates to her struggles, such as in her EP 'Good Cry' with "Sadness" and "Topanga" and somber songs such as "July" and "Lonely." In 2013, Cyrus used her 13th birthday as an opportunity to raise funds for the ban of using horse-drawn carriages in New York City. More recently, she has worked with PETA.  First appearing in an ad protesting the use of animal dissection in high school science classes instead of plastic ones or virtual dissection programs. Then in another supporting a SeaWorld boycott. In 2019, after the releasing of her single Lonely, Noah teamed up with the Crystal Campaign and released a merchandising collection called The Lonely Collection which funds were collected to The Jed Foundation, a non-profit organisation in the USA that exists to protect emotional health and prevent suicide for our nation's teens and young adults. Later, Cyrus joined the mobile app Depop and put on sale her own old clothes and its funds were also donated to The Jed Foundation.

Aly & AJ - Take Me -

I've been spending my attention on you, on you
I don't wait long 'cause I got better things to do

When you gonna take me out?
Make a move and make it now
When you gonna take me out?
When you gonna take me out?

So much talking, swear that's all you ever do
Show me something before I show something to you

When you gonna take me out?
Make a move and make it now
When you gonna take me out?
When you gonna take me out?
When you gonna take me out?

I know that you would want it
If I could sink my teeth into you
I know that you would want it
If I could sink my teeth into you
First you gotta ask me out

I've been spending my attention on you
I don't wait long 'cause I got better things to do
When you gonna take me out?
When you gonna take me out?
When you gonna take me out?

I know that you would want it
If I could sink my teeth into you
I know that you would want it
If I could sink my teeth into you

Amanda Michalka

Aly & AJ is a musical duo consisting of sisters Alyson Michalka and Amanda Michalka. They started in 2004 and are still active today. They were under the Hollywood Records label until they left the label in 2010. In 2009, Aly & AJ renamed themselves 78violet and officially announced their departure from Hollywood Records the following year. In 2013, the sisters released their first single in five years, "Hothouse". The duo had planned to release a full-length album in 2014, which was later leaked onto the internet during summer 2014. On December 9, 2015, the duo announced they had decided to return to their original name, Aly & AJ. In August 2017, they released the single "Take Me" as the lead single from their EP, Ten Years. On March 29, 2019, the pair released the single "Church" as the lead single from their EP Sanctuary, which was released on May 10, 2019. On June 26, 2008, an Ohio man named Rex Mettler was arrested for stalking the duo. The Lancaster man "obtained contact information for the acting and singing duo and made threats online, by phone and handwritten notes" as stated by the police. The duo was scheduled to perform in Cincinnati on June 27, 2008, where the man was present, after which the police could not confirm that any of the threats involved the Ohio show. The police later stated that "the charge against Mettler stems from incidents that began December 15, 2007" and that "Rex displayed a pattern of activity over that time that reflected multiple attempts, if not numerous attempts, at stalking these females." Two years later, on June 17, 2010, Caesar Brantley was arrested on suspicion of stalking the duo. He pleaded not guilty. Aly claimed Brantley is an "obsessed fan" who is determined to marry her "no matter what" in filings for the restraining order.Another court hearing was scheduled on June 30th. Aly & AJ, who are both very open about their faith, were significant in the Christian music rock scene. "Never Far Behind" was only released on Christian rock radio. It went to No.1 on Radio & Records (R&R) Christian CHR. The duo does not wish to be labeled as Christian music artists. In an interview with Blender magazine in June 2006, Aly & AJ said that their music comes from a Christian perspective. "We don't ever wanna preach or shove anything down people's throats, but we want our music to be inspiring." AJ added, "If we have a Muslim fan or an atheist fan, that's their thing – I'm gonna love them no matter what." In a 2006 interview with Blender magazine, the two expressed their disbelief in evolution. In 2018, Aly & AJ stated in an interview with AWAL that they do believe in evolution. The pair later reiterated their pro-evolution-theory stance in response to a fan on Twitter, writing: "Yes to evolution...thank God for the glow up in not just body but mind".

Samantha Fox - 'Hot Boy' Official Video

Did you think you could keep your cool
On a night like this
Can't you feel the fever, in the air
Hear my voice callin' out for you
And you can't resist
When you taste the passion we could share
Cause you know

One touch from you could make sparks fly
I've got a secret that I can't hide
Hold on baby and you will see

HotHot for you
Ooh, you got me burnin' up
HotHot for you
Feel my body turnin' so
HotHot for you
Come and get it while it's hot

You should know not to stand too close
When you play with fire
Boy, I got a hunger you can't tame
Tell me now will you let your love
Cool my desire
Before it all goes up in flames
cause you know

hotHot for you
Ooh, you got me burnin' up
Hothot for you
Feel my body turnin' so
HotHot for you
I never get enough

Sam Smith - Too Good At Goodbyes (Official Video) -

You must think that I'm stupid
You must think that I'm a fool
You must think that I'm new to this
But I have seen this all before

I'm never gonna let you close to me
Even though you mean the most to me
'Cause every time I open up, it hurts
So I'm never gonna get too close to you
Even when I mean the most to you
In case you go and leave me in the dirt

But every time you hurt me, the less that I cry
And every time you leave me, the quicker these tears dry
And every time you walk out, the less I love you
Baby, we don't stand a chance, it's sad but it's true

I'm way too good at goodbyes
(I'm way too good at goodbyes)
I'm way too good at goodbyes
(I'm way too good at goodbyes)

I know you're thinking I'm heartless
I know you're thinking I'm cold
I'm just protecting my innocence
I'm just protecting my soul

I'm never gonna let you close to me
Even though you mean the most to me
'Cause every time I open up, it hurts
So I'm never gonna get too close to you
Even when I mean the most to you
In case you go and leave me in the dirt

But every time you hurt me, the less that I cry
And every time you leave me, the quicker these tears dry
And every time you walk out, the less I love you
Baby, we don't stand a chance, it's sad but it's true

I'm way to good at goodbyes
(I'm way to good at goodbyes)
I'm way too good at goodbyes
(I'm way too good at goodbyes)
No way that you'll see me cry
(No way that you'll see me cry)
I'm way too good at goodbyes
(I'm way too good at goodbyes)

No
No, no, no, no, no (I'm way too good at goodbyes)
No, no, no, no
No, no, no (I'm way too good at goodbyes)
(No way that you'll see me cry)
(I'm way too good at goodbyes)

'Cause every time you hurt me, the less that I cry
And every time you leave me, the quicker these tears dry

Too Good at Goodbyes lyrics © Sony/ATV Music Publishing LLC, Downtown Music Publishing

Sam Smith was born in London in May 1992 and began singing at a young age. They first hit the charts as the featured singer on the 2012 Disclosure song "Latch," and released their first single, "Lay Me Down," soon after. In 2014, Smith released In the Lonely Hour, their heartfelt debut full-length album. It contained the smash hit "Stay With Me," a radio staple over the course of the entire year. For their work on In the Lonely Hour, Smith was awarded four Grammys, among them Song of the Year and Record of the Year. In 2019, Smith announced that they prefer to use non-binary pronouns. Smith was born on May 19, 1992, in London. A natural singer, Smith began performing as a child, but the first real press they got came in 2009, when their mother, a successful banker, was fired after allegedly promoting her 15-year-old son’s singing career while on company time. Smith had only recorded two songs at that point and it would be a few years before they left their mark on the musical world. Throughout their teenage years, Smith studied music while hitting the books at St. Mary's Catholic School in Bishop's Stortford, Hertfordshire. They looked for inspiration in such soulful artists as Aretha Franklin and Stevie Wonder while keeping a close eye on their future in the music business. Smith’s first moment in the spotlight would come when the dance/electronica duo Disclosure released its 2012 song “Latch,” to which Smith lent their vocals. The track featured the singer’s melodic falsetto over Disclosure’s electronic beat. "Latch," featuring a stripped-down sound that made the listener take notice of Smith’s vocal work, resonated in a big way with music fans and critics alike and laid the groundwork for their future success in the UK and beyond. "Latch" reached the top of the UK singles chart when Smith was just 21, and they soon released their own single, “Lay Me Down.”

Smith’s next hit was again via a featured role on another artist’s song: Naughty Boy’s Bollywood-inspired "La La La." With Smith's lead vocal, the song became an instant No. 1 single in the UK in the spring of 2013. In the fall, Smith released their first EP, Nirvana, on which listeners were treated to an acoustic version of "Latch." A few months later, in February 2014, Smith was again at the top of the UK singles chart with "Money on My Mind," and in May 2014, their full-length debut, In the Lonely Hour, was released in the UK. The same month that In the Lonely Hour was released, Smith told the world they were gay. They also revealed that despite the album being full of love songs, they've never experienced it firsthand. “I've never been in a relationship before,” they said to the magazine Fader. “In the Lonely Hour is about a guy that I fell in love with last year, and he didn't love me back. ... I was in a very dark place.”

That dark place has taken Smith to some very exciting, rewarding arenas. At the 2015 Grammy Awards, Smith and their record took four awards: Best New Artist, Best Pop Vocal Album, Record of the Year and Song of the Year (“Stay With Me”). "Before I made this record I was doing everything to try and get my music heard," Smith said during one of his four acceptance speeches. "It was only until I started to be myself that the music started to flow and people started to listen." Smith continued to keep busy in 2015, releasing a re-recorded version of "Lay Me Down" as a duet with soul singer/songwriter John Legend. The track went to No. 1 on the UK pop charts while raising money for the charity initiative Comic Relief. Smith then contributed lead vocals on the sleek "Omen," one of the first singles from Disclosure's sophomore album, Caracal. Smith has since joined the James Bond canon of movie vocalists with his orchestral single "Writing's on the Wall" for Spectre. Co-written with Jimmy Napes, the song became a No. 1 single in the UK. "Wall" received both a Golden Globe and an Academy Award in 2016, with Smith dedicating his Oscar win to LGBT communities across the globe. In September 2017, Smith released the first track, "Too Good at Goodbyes," from their sophomore album The Thrill of It all. Three more singles followed from the album, which hit No. 1 in the UK and U.S. Smith enjoyed more commercial success via their collaborations with Calvin Harris on "Promises" and with Normani on "Dancing with a Stranger," before resuming solo work for the summer 2019 release of "How Do You Sleep?" In 2019, Smith announced that they were going to begin using the non-gender, non-binary pronouns they/them. "After a lifetime of being at war with my gender I’ve decided to embrace myself for who I am, inside and out. I’m so excited and privileged to be surrounded by people that support me in this decision but I’ve been very nervous about announcing this because I care too much about what people think," they wrote on Instagram.

You gon' make me hit you with that lay down, baby (oh)
Ooh say say say, hey hey now baby
You know what I need, out the gate now baby (oh, ohh)

Been wishin' for you, am I lucky or not, lucky or not, lucky or not?

Ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, been wishin' for you
Ooh, ooh

What lovers do (hmm na na na, hey yeah)
What lovers do (hmm na na na) (oh, ohh)

Aren't we too grown for games?
Aren't we too grown to play around?
Young enough to chase
But old enough to know better
Are we too grown for changin'?

Are we too grown to mess around?
Ooh and I can't wait forever baby
Both of us should know better

Ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, been wishin' for you
Ooh, ooh
Tryna do what lovers do ooh

Ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, been wishin' for you
Ooh, ooh
Tryna do what lovers do ooh

Ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh
Been wishin' for you (you, oh yeah)
Ooh, ooh
Tryna do what lovers do ooh (tryna do what lovers do, ooh)

Ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, been wishin' for you
(Been wishin' for love) ooh, ooh
Tryna do what lovers do (do uhh, ooh)

Ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, been wishin' for you
(Tryna do) ooh, ooh
Tryna do what lovers do (ooh)

Kygo & Justin Jesso - Stargazing (Official Video)

You're saying it's hopeless, that I should hope less
Heaven can help us, well maybe "she" might
You say it's beyond us, what is beyond us?
Let's see and decide
We've been meteoric, even before this
Burns half as long when it's twice as bright
So if it's beyond us, then it's beyond us
Let's see and decide

And I will still be here, stargazing
I'll still look up, look up
Look up for love
I will still be here, stargazing
I'll still look up, look up
Look up for love

Don't you, give up, for me
Don't fall, don't give up, for love
Don't you, give up, for me
Don't fall, don't give up, for love
Don't you, give up, for me
Don't fall, don't give up, for love
Don't you, give up, for me
Don't fall, don't give up, for love

I'm trying to save us, you don't wanna save us
You blame human nature, and say it's unkind
Let's make up our own minds, we've got our whole lives
Let's see and decide, decide

And I will still be here, stargazing
I'll still look up, look up
Look up for love
Stars don't disappear, they keep blazing
Even when the night is over
And I will still be here, stargazing
I'll still look up, look up
Look up for love
Stars don't disappear, they keep blazing
Even when the night is over
That's how I find the light

Don't you, give up, for me
Don't fall, don't give up, for love
That's how I find the light
Don't you, give up, for me (oh)
Don't fall, don't give up, for love
Don't you, give up, for me
Don't fall, don't give up, for love
Don't you, give up, for me
Don't fall, don't give up, for love
That's how I find the light
Don't you, give up, for me
Don't fall, don't give up, for love
That's how I find the light
Don't you, give up, for me (oh)
Don't fall, don't give up, for love

INVISIBLE | Christina Grimmie (OFFICIAL VIDEO)

I'm solid, not apparition, better check your vision
See what you're missing, boy
I don't need your permission to go on existing
With or without you, boy
I ain't gonna let it go
'Cause this been going too long
I won't be another ghost, no I won't be invisible
See me everywhere you go, no I won't be invisible
Invisible
Invisible
I had my suspicions, you kept me at a distance
I ain't disappearing, boy
I thought you were worth it, pulling back the curtain
I see why I was hurting, boy
And I ain't gonna let it go
Now you see me with the lights on (see me with the lights on)
I won't be another ghost, no I won't be invisible
See me everywhere you go, no I won't be invisible
Invisible
Invisible
I won't be diminished, eclipsed or hidden
You're gonna see my light blaze back to life, like a phoenix rise
I won't be diminished, eclipsed or hidden
You're gonna see my light blaze back to life, like a phoenix rise
Hey yeah! Invisible
Hey yeah! Invisible
Hey yeah! Invisible

Carrie Lane- Think About It (Official Video)

Drop
I'm the president of lonely
Yeah I hold the trophy
It lights up my room
And be peer crazy
Don't hold it against me
It's my golden rule

I'm in the hall of shame
All the dying flames
On a million miles away
No one knows my name
I'm a castaway
On my own mistakes
Turn a sunny sky to a hurricane

Don't wanna think about it anymore
Don't wanna think about you you you
Don't wanna think about it anymore
Don't wanna think about you you you

It's so damn hard to do
Cause I drink and I think about you
It' so damn hard to do
I'm a wreck I'm a twisted little fool
You You You

Kitty on my ex's
They know I got wreckless
It's my final day with you
I know that it's excessive
I Never learn my lesson
But it's time I do

Don't wanna think about it anymore
Don't wanna think about you you you
Don't wanna think about it anymore
Don't wanna think about you you you

It's so damn hard to do
Cause I drink and I think about you
It' so damn hard to do
I'm a wreck I'm a twisted little fool
You You You

I be real for one minute
All this matters when I'm not winning

Don't wanna think about it anymore
Don't wanna think about you you you
Don't wanna think about it anymore
Don't wanna think about you you you

It's so damn hard to do
Cause I drink and I think about you
It' so damn hard to do
I'm a wreck I'm a twisted little fool

It's so damn hard to do
Cause I drink and I think about you
It' so damn hard to do
I'm a wreck I'm a twisted little fool
for you you

Capital Cities - Vowels (Official Music Video)

I got something on my mind
But words, they won't do it justice
I could write it on a sign
But words, they won't do it justice

I need a translator at the tip of my tongue
There's a freight train of emotion stuck in my lungs
I need to get it out, get it out before it's all gone
So I'll just speak in vowels from now on

A-A
O-O
E-E
Ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh
A-A
O-O
E-E
Ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh

I could tell you what it's like
But words, they won't do it justice
Spell it out, turn up the mic
But words, they won't do it justice

I need a psychic to read my mind
Get me a Shakespeare to feed me lines
I need to let it out, let it out, I waited too long
I'm only using vowels from now on

A-A
O-O
E-E
Ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh
A-A
O-O
E-E
Ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh

A-A

Ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh
A-A
O-O

Ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh
